DMR on the Packet Intertie

Most of the digital repeaters on the Packet Intertie are MMDVM multi-mode machines, capable of running DMR, P25, and NXDN. DMR is the primary mode on this network, on the Brandmeister network. These repeaters are open for use, but please read the notices below before you key up.

Most of these machines are recognized by the Utah P25 & NXDN Society — a small, unorganized group of P25 repeaters located throughout Northern Utah. This is separate from other statewide DMR networks — see the notice below.

⚠ This is NOT AmComm DMR.

The Packet Intertie DMR machines are an independent system and are not part of the AmComm DMR network. If you are looking for AmComm DMR, please use one of the Utah DRN (Digital Radio Network) repeaters instead — this system will not connect you to AmComm talkgroups or infrastructure.

ℹ P25 & NXDN Are Open to the Public — Access Codes Just Aren't Posted.

Since these are MMDVM repeaters, P25 and NXDN are available and open for public use on these machines, same as DMR. Our DMR Color Code is 1 across the system, listed openly above. The P25 NAC and NXDN RAN are also public information — they're not secret — we simply don't publish the exact values on this site, to keep casual traffic on DMR (our primary mode) and keep the repeaters hanging on DMR most of the time. If you want to use P25 or NXDN on these machines, contact KK7GKG via the Contact page.

ℹ Want a Static Talkgroup?

If you'd like a static timeslot on one of our repeaters, reach out to a system administrator or KK7GKG via the Contact page with the following, and we'll see what we can work out:

Repeater ID / Tag  ·  Timeslot  ·  Talkgroup  ·  Time of Day (UTC)  ·  Why / Info about the TG

Depending on the talkgroup, we do allow full-time static assignments — not just scheduled windows. You're also welcome to request the same static timeslot across more than one repeater if that fits your use case.

Note: TG 91 (World Wide) is a permanent fixture on PIN D1 and PIN D3, static every Saturday 0730–1530 UTC, and is not available for reassignment during that window.
